While it may be tempting to have a friend or neighbor check in on your cats while you're away, we as professionals have extensive training and resources to ensure that your cats are safe and well cared for the duration of their scheduled service. It is very unlikely that your friend or neighbor has access to:

• A Continuity of Service Guarantee (meaning a sitter will be available to take care of your cats if the primary sitter isn't available)
• Pet First Aid/CPR Training
• Knowledge of local vets/cat emergency care facilities
• Insurance and Bonding protections
• Background Checked

As a professional cat sitting service in Evanston, all of these factors and more are what justify our prices as well as a strict code of professional conduct and standards for our staff. You may rest assured that service through us offers more protection and peace-of-mind for yourself, your cats, and your property.

We are Fear Free certified, which is training aimed at improving and alleviating fear, anxiety and stress in pets. We also obtained a CPPS (Certified Professional Pet Sitter) certificate from Pet Sitters International (PSI). To obtain this certificate, we demonstrated our knowledge in pet care for multiple kinds of pets, pet first aid and CPR, health, safety and sanitation, customer service and basic business business practices. This certification must be renewed every 3 years by obtaining 30 CEU's (Continuing Education Units) to be in good standing. We are Pet First Aid and CPR certified through Pro Pet Hero. We have also obtained a certificate in COVID-19 Safety from PSI, and this is to ensure the highest level of safety, procures and precaution for you and your cats’ safety during the pandemic. We are proud members of PSI and NAPPS, which are educational associations aimed at providing professional pet sitters the continuing education and the resources needed to help them provide the best possible service to clients.

All cat sitting visits are scheduled within a one, two or three-hour window of time depending on the special needs of your cat.

Our local cat care service uses software that is secured with bank-level security so your information is as secure as possible. Your written contracts are kept in a binder and kept under lock and key in our office.

Cameras during a cat care visit are not a problem as long as they are not located in a restroom.

it is our policy that cats must be visited at least once every 24 hours. For the following reasons:

• We are fully insured and our insurance policy will not cover incidents that occur when a sitter has not visited at least once every 24 hours.
• Cats can lock themselves in rooms without access to food and water.
• Cats are social beings and need attention. They are not animals to be left alone for days on end without human interaction.
• Cats need fresh water. Many cats will refuse to drink water if their water is not fresh, even if they have not exhibited this behavior previously.
• Cats are prone to kidney infections and serious conditions can develop quickly. Your cat sitter is trained to be on the lookout for changes in litter box usage and eating patterns which could indicate a serious illness.

We provide cat sitting visits in your home. We believe that cats that stay in their own environment are happier and healthier than cats who stay in kennels or other boarding facilities. These are in-your-home drop-in visits. These visits also include mail retrieval and plant watering. We do not offer overnight cat care or boarding/kenneling services.

We accept all major credit cards and e-checks.

Cancellations for cat sitting service made within three days of the first day of service is 100% refundable. Cancellations for cat sitting service made within two days of the first day of service is 50% refundable. Cancellations for cat sitting made less than one day from the first day of service is 50% refundable in the form of credit to be applied to your next scheduled service. There is no refund for services cancelled due to early returns.

We strongly recommend clients use a key box, but if that's not possible, we request that clients prepare two copies of keys to have ready for pickup during the complimentary Meet and Greet. At the end of scheduled service, we can either return keys to clients or hang on to them for future service. If clients choose to let us retain keys for future service, keys are uniquely coded and safely stored in a locked safe.

Although tipping is not required, your cat sitter would greatly appreciate it!

You only need to fill out your profile one time and update as needed. Once you complete your profile, we will have all the information we need to provide world-class professional cat care in your home.

Yes. We are open 365 days per year. We do charge a $10 per visit holiday fee on the following major holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

We are a full service pet sitting company. Our cat sitting services are customizable according to the needs of your pets and your home. At the meet and greet we will document your cat’s routine and adhere to that routine while providing services. The following services are included:

• Refreshing food and water
• Brushing
• Cleaning up accidents
• Scooping litter boxes
• Pictures and report card via our mobile app after each visit
• Administering medications, including pills and inhalation treatments
• Checking the mail
• Watering plants
• Providing a security check of the premises including checking the security of windows and all entrances
